This is an unexpected addition to the states considering ill-conceived bans on BFRs. SB 76 was recently introduced, under a cloud of concerns from retailers, medical professionals and others. The ban is being put forward by the left leaning group VTPIRG, and has numerous inaccuracies and misstatements about the impacts of BFRs and the potential problems that can occur. In a recent story in the local newspaper significant questions were raised as to whether the bill was accurate in suggesting that there are “safer” alternatives in the market.
