Maine Fire Safety (Updated 4/12/2010)
Maine: Maine's fire safety has been compromised with the passing of LD 1568, an immediate ban on Deca-BDE. Proponents of the legislation illogically chose to ban a product before alternatives were tested, leaving thousands of citizens at a high fire risk and many businesses in danger of collapse. This ban will go into effect January 1st, 2011. Please let your local legislators know that you firmly disagree with the decision to first ban, then test life-saving products.
