Hawaii: Big trouble ahead in this state. We are tracking several proposals that are of deep concern. They include: SB 814 PBDE Ban. Prohibits the manufacture or distribution of products containing polybrominated diphenyl ethers by January 1, 2011. HB 799 prohibits the manufacture or distribution of products containing polybrominated diphenyl ethers by January 1, 2011. Both bills exempt 'transportation vehicles'; the military; auto replacement parts; the military; aviation equipment; and casual sales. We hope to motivate allies to fight these bans.
