California: With the implementation of the landmark California Green Chemistry Initiative, California is once again leading the nation in innovative and sensible regulatory policies on toxics. The lead agency is currently seeking the input of citizens, organizations and individuals on the program. If you would like more information, please contact us at info@cffsi.org. We are hopeful that the implementation of the Green Chemistry program and efforts to build consensus on toxics policies in the state will prevent another bruising battle over proposed bans of BFR’s and other important fire safety tools. CFFSI is hopeful to engage stakeholders in a dialogue on this issue as the legislative year progresses.
